I founded ProColour Painting in 2013 with a vision to create a painting company that delivers a personalised approach and consistently high-quality results in Nelson. From the outset, I have always valued attention to detail and take pride in seeing a project through from start to finish, achieving results with a real wow-factor.

I am fully trade qualified and bring nearly 20 years of experience and expertise in the painting industry. Since our founding, the company has grown from just myself to a dedicated team of nine Qualified Painters and three apprentices, all of whom share the same commitment to excellence and attention to detail.

ProColour Painting is proud to be a member of Master Painters and one of the few Dulux-accredited painters in Nelson. Through innovative products, meticulous project management, and a focus on quality, we strive to deliver outstanding finished work on time and to the highest standard.

Director/ Operations Manager – Qualified Painter & Decorator

I’m a Director and the Operations Manager at ProColour Painting and have spent more than 15 years immersed in the painting industry. Over the years, I’ve developed comprehensive expertise across the entire painting process — from initial preparation to flawless finishes — and I take pride in delivering transformative results for homes, businesses, and large-scale projects alike.

I have a sharp eye for detail and a relentless commitment to quality. While spraying is one of my key fortes, I am also skilled in Porters special effects, Avista and other specialist flooring finishes, pool repairs and painting, specialised coatings and protective coatings, and everything else listed on our website! My focus is always on achieving seamless, high-caliber results while ensuring each project runs efficiently and effectively.

Outside of work, I love travelling and exploring new places with my wife and kids. Even after living throughout New Zealand, there’s still so much more we’re excited to discover together.

Business Operations – Chartered Accountant

I’m a Chartered Accountant with seven years’ experience in accounting. In my role is in Business Operations at ProColour Painting, I wear a lot of hats — from finance and client communication to marketing and day-to-day operations — making sure everything runs smoothly and efficiently.

I’m passionate about finding solutions, improving processes, and delivering the best outcomes possible. I really enjoy working with clients and supporting the team to achieve success across every project.

Outside of work, I love travelling, spending time with my friends and family, and making the most of every moment with my Husband and Children.

Estimator

I recently joined ProColour Painting Ltd and I’m excited to bring my hands-on, creative approach to the team. I began my career in commercial building and construction before running a photography business for 15 years, which refined my eye for composition, light, and color. Recently I worked in the flooring industry helping homeowners choose color schemes and finishes that truly suit their homes.

I’m a proud parent of five, family-oriented and highly motivated. In my spare time I’m a committed DIYer who loves rolling up my sleeves and turning ideas into practical, beautiful results. Working with colour is my specialty — I enjoy helping people make confident choices that bring warmth and personality to their spaces.

Supervisor – Qualified Painter & Decorator

With over 22 years of industry experience across four countries, I bring a wealth of knowledge, precision, and craftsmanship to every project at ProColour Painting. As the team leader, I take pride in guiding our staff and ensuring every client receives exceptional service, clear communication, and a flawless finish.

I am a wallpaper expert, specialising in: Mural wallcoverings, Finish paper & vinyl wallpapering and Special-effects wallpaper installations. My wider skillset includes: Special effects finishes, Specialised coatings, Interior residential painting, Exterior house painting & exterior cleaning, Plastering and Spray painting.

No matter the complexity of the job, I am fully equipped to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise, always keeping the client’s satisfaction and vision as the top priority. Known for being friendly, reliable, and detail-driven, I am committed to providing premium-quality workmanship that stands the test of time.

Outside of work, I enjoy painting abstract canvases and expressing creativity through art. I’m a passionate golfer and the 2025 Club Champion of Waahi Taakaro Golf Club. I’ve also trained in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for the past seven years, embracing the discipline and challenge it brings.

I’m fortunate to share my life with my lovely fiancée Stacey, our two wonderful girls Cassidy and Denver, and our two big, lovable dogs Voldo and Freddie—all of whom keep life full of joy, energy, and motivation.

Senior Painter – Qualified Painter & Decorator

Firstly I'll talk about my painting, which has been my primary occupation in life. My father was a professional painter in London, so my career in the industry started at about 14 helping out around site puttying windows, masking and preparing. At this time acrylic paint was a newish product!

I became qualified after moving to NZ and being offered an adult apprenticeship whilst working, as a painter for a large company in Auckland, my painting career progressed and within a few years I had owned my own business ran huge commercial sites and gained experience in other trades.

In my personal life I have lots of cool physical hobbies. I have trained Brazilian jiu-jitsu for the last 15 years and coached for 12, I have a passion for the outdoors, caving, hunting, fishing and watersports. 8 years ago, my daughter was born and my son followed 18 months after, this made me reevaluate working, I have stepped back to a 4-day week supported by ProColour allowing me to prioritize my family who are my main focus and driving force in life. This allows me to be super energized and passionate about what we achieve painting and decorating.

Painter – Qualified Painter & Decorator 

I have been painting for 6 years after working in the concrete industry for 6 years.

I love working on high end houses and perfecting my brush work.

When I am not working, I am with my Fiancé and 8 month old daughter catching up with friends and family or working on our house.

I am from Jordan and have been living in New Zealand for 3 years and have been painting for 11 years. I am married and enjoy bowling, swimming, tennis and horse riding.

I have just finished my Painting qualification, and I’m truly proud to be part of the Procolour team. I’m passionate about giving back, especially supporting people in my home country of Myanmar who are facing food insecurity and the impacts of war. In my free time, I love playing football and staying active.

Apprentice

I’m a second-year painting apprentice with a passion for transforming spaces. There’s nothing better than a good before-and after. Outside of work, I enjoy being outdoors and spending time with my two dogs.

I am in my first year of my apprenticeship with ProColour. I enjoy the outdoors and my hobbies are knitting and sewing. I love meeting new people and learning new things

I am Neh and I am really happy working with ProColour and I just started my painting apprenticeship. Outside of work I enjoy working out and playing football, volleyball and cane ball.

Contractor – Qualified Painter & Decorator

I am a landscape artist, a signwriter and a qualified painter. I have been painting for over 40 years.

I enjoy kayaking, playing the piano and saxophone and I love spending time with the grand kids.
